Course Aim/Objectives:
This unit covers the management of a simple project or section of a larger project. If focuses on the application of project management skills and the requirement to meet timelines, quality standards, budgetary limits and other requirements set for the project.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this unit the participants will be able to:

- Administer and monitor a project

- Project scope
- Project stakeholders
- Project documentation
- Project plan, and work breakdown schedule, timelines, task breakdown, roles and responsibilities
- Project risks, budgets, management tools, resources;
- Record keeping, project reports,
- Project close, review, lessons learnt.
Course Assesment/Outcomes
Assessment
Assessment of your learning occurs in a number of different ways. These are the features in the assessment process.
- You will assess your own progress individually or in a group with peers following the various activities and self-tests in the unit.
- Your facilitator will monitor your completion of the set activities, and check that you have completed the requirements. These activities and exercises will form evidence for your final assessment.
- Your facilitator will be responsible for verifying that your performance has met the statement requirements.
- You will need to keep any written work or other evidence to form a portfolio for assessment.
- A workplace portfolio is the most appropriate and relevant method to demonstrate transfer of knowledge and skills from the classroom to the workplace
Award / Credential
Upon successful completion of all assessment requirements participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.
