Course Aim/Objectives:
This unit specifies the outcomes required to manage and lead team members within an organisation. This includes determining work allocations, implementing performance management processes, addressing issues related to own personal leadership style and performance within the work team, demonstrating leadership, building commitment within the team, and analysing, reviewing and evaluating the effectiveness of human resource management processes.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this unit the participants will be able to:
- Manage performance of individuals in teams;
- Address performance related issues;
- Address issues and problems of individuals in teams;
- Build support and commitment within the work team;
- Review and evaluate management of individuals within the work team.
Content
- Performance management systems are developed and implemented;
- Mentoring and coaching in the workplace
- Learning needs and opportunities are identified including developmental plans

Course Assesment/Outcomes
Assessment
Assessment of your learning occurs in a number of different ways. These are the features in the assessment process.
- You will assess your own progress individually or in a group with peers following the various activities and self-tests in the unit.
- Your facilitator will monitor your completion of the set activities, and check that you have completed the requirements. These activities and exercises will form evidence for your final assessment.
- Your facilitator will be responsible for verifying that your performance has met the statement requirements.
- You will need to keep any written work or other evidence to form a portfolio for assessment.
- A workplace portfolio is the most appropriate and relevant method to demonstrate transfer of knowledge and skills from the classroom to the workplace
Award / Credential
Upon successful completion of all assessment requirements participants will receive a Statement of Attainment.
